Is there a minimum commitment period?
No. You can cancel at any time and you won't be charged from the following month onwards.
If I pre-register, am I committing to anything?
Not at all. Pre-registering simply tells us you're interested. We'll confirm whether the group opens and give you all the details before September 2026. You decide then whether to join — no payment is taken until you're fully confirmed.
Will the classes be in English?
Yes, all the English groups are taught entirely in English. The chess content, explanations and feedback are all in English.
What do I need to join a class?
Just a device with an internet connection (computer, tablet or phone). Classes run via Google Meet and a live chess board on screen. You don't need a physical board, though it can be helpful.
How are payments made?
Monthly payments via PayPal or bank transfer. No enrolment fee. If you join mid-month you only pay the proportional amount.
What if I miss a class?
No problem. All sessions follow a structured programme that makes it easy to catch up. We also send supplementary material so you can review what was covered.
Can I change group if the time doesn't suit me?
Of course. If your schedule changes or a group isn't working for you, just let us know and we'll move you to one that fits better.
I've never played chess before. Can I join?
Absolutely. Our beginner groups are designed for people who are starting from scratch — no prior knowledge needed. It's never too late to start.
What's the minimum age?
The minimum age to enrol at Chesscul is 6 years old.
Are the classes recorded?
Classes are not recorded as standard, but if you miss a session your teacher will send supplementary material covering the key points from that class.
