We are pioneers in Spain in using therapeutic chess across various associations.

In recent years, the positive impact of chess on the brain has been widely studied, highlighting its influence on neural plasticity, mental stimulation, and its potential role in the prevention or treatment of neurological diseases. The skills involved in playing chess—such as memory, attention, strategic thinking, and problem-solving—are closely related to cognitive functions that are often affected in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
For this reason, regular chess practice is considered capable of helping delay cognitive decline, improve concentration, and support more organized decision-making, while also promoting autonomy and confidence among these individuals.
The Chesscul methodology is based on a participatory, inclusive approach adapted to the abilities of each group. The aim is for all participants to benefit from chess as a tool for cognitive stimulation, learning, and personal development.
The sessions combine simple explanations, practical exercises, and adapted games that help develop skills such as attention, memory, planning, concentration, and decision-making, always within a dynamic and motivating environment.
The program is delivered through a weekly session of approximately one hour, with activities adjusted to the pace and needs of the participants in order to ensure an accessible, stimulating, and enriching experience for all users.
At Chesscul, we work with a clear mission: to bring chess closer to society as an educational, therapeutic, and personal development tool. We firmly believe that chess is not just a game, but an extraordinary resource capable of improving cognitive abilities, fostering autonomy, and strengthening people’s emotional well-being.
We are pioneers in Spain in implementing therapeutic chess within associations and social centers, integrating this discipline as a structured activity that provides real benefits to participants. Through our programs, we aim to stimulate memory, attention, decision-making, and planning skills, while also promoting values such as patience, respect, and teamwork.
Our goal is to collaborate with associations, social centers, and organizations that work with diverse communities, offering an innovative activity whose positive impact is reflected both at the cognitive and social levels.
